The Mina Masjid (1631-40 AD)

This small mosque was built in white marble by Shah Jahan for the use of his own and his selected royal ladies. It is situated in the southwest of the Diwan-i-Khas and to the south of the Macchi Bhawan. Built in marble, it has a small open court (Sahn) in front of the three arched prayer Chamber. The court is paved with alternate squares of marble and Jasper slabs. The prayer chamber measures 6.71 m. by 3.96 m. The structure is plain and simple and secured on all sides by lofty walls, which indicate its use by royal ladies.
